 | Dogs sense communication in ways similar to infants, study finds New research finds that dogs engage in gaze-following, a behavior displayed by human babies in which they look in the same direction of another human who has first made eye contact or otherwise communicated with them. "Our findings reveal that dogs are receptive to human communication in a manner that was previously attributed only to human infants," said co-author Jozsef Topal of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
