Adoptions Followed by Pet Returns Post-holiday life has returned
to normal ... for most of us. For those of us who have a new pet, we
may be finding that our newest member of the family is too much to
handle. This week's feature article focuses on holiday pets that have

Dogs sense communication in ways similar to infants, study finds
New research finds that dogs engage in gaze-following, a behavior displayed by human babies in which they look in the same direction of another human who has first made eye contact or otherwise communicated with them. "Our findings reveal that dogs are receptive to human communication in a manner that was previously attributed only to human infants," said co-author Jozsef Topal of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
